Almonte Legion Donates to Home Support Program

On Sunday, November 27, Joe LeBlanc, 1st Vice President of Almonte’s Royal Canadian Legion Branch 240, presented a cheque from the Legion’s weekly “Charity Bingo” to Lawanda Brown, Manager of the Mills Community Support’s Home Support Program. The bingos take place every Sunday at 7pm at the Almonte Legion and are run by the Legion’s Ladies’ Auxiliary. Monies received from the sale of the bingo cards are distributed to various local charities throughout the year.
